How Meditation Helps? Reduce Stress and Feel Better‎


Hello All! I was asked to share my story so I am sharing it with all of you. My son was diagnosed with autism when he was 4. I really began to notice something wasn't right when he was 9 months old as it was then that his personality completely changed. It was incredibly heartbreaking. In any case he had received services even in preschool to try to keep him in the school systems and socially adequate. He also developed a severe gluten sensitivity which was another life adjustment. I tried everything from special vitamin treatments, to detoxing and a gluten free diet, but I found that the results were short lived or not as impactful as I had hoped for.

In 2013 there was a huge change in our lives when I found a meditation practice called Falun Dafa. It's a full self cultivation practice of mind and body with a moral compass rooted in Truthfulness Compassion and Tolerance. I thought that of all my kids he would be the last one to do it because he just wouldn't get it. But I gave it a try with all of them. HE LOVED IT! In a matter of months he became a totally different person. He gets to enjoy life like it should be enjoyed. He is no longer allergic to gluten (which has the "experts" baffled) and he's social...maybe not extremely social, as he prefers to be with the animals more than people, but still he's social when he needs to be....even in school. He is now 12 and has no medications. The only thing that he has changed is that he practices Falun Dafa. Even his teachers and special needs teachers are amazed at his improvement and have told him that his meditating is now part of his curriculum!
